Valborg...

Ready and fully packed for tomorrow! Me and my fellow friends will go to Uppsala for Sista April swedish style (which means loaded of alcohol), drinking spanish wine mixed with american cola and swedish beers, wearing irish clothes and speaking french, english (and catalan for some others) and maybe a little of swedish late in the night...

That's being erasmus!

More to come soon...

Sun, too much?

Stockholm, April...

I should have been wearing at least a pullover over a t-shirt.

But God (green house gases??) decided it was time for temperatures to rise all over Europe. With a little help from the sun and pollution, I have been able to go 'work' my swedish outside in the field in front of my building (I also had a short siesta hehe)!! I almost got a sunburn (ok I admit I get some easily, but still)!!

The sun makes me happy, but come on, it's April and Stockholm!! The weather is going crazy! Turn the light off and use your bike!

One long day!!

Coucou!

Yesterday has been a very long day! Everything started by some long hours of working that I won't describe into details. Around 17:00, Pel and I met to finish our assignment. Once finished, things started to become goofy as Guillaume arrived and we started organizing our evening.

For a couple of days, Guillaume had been working hard on making us come to see Bob Sinclar and some other (famous) DJs at Sture Companiet, a big fancy club in Stockholm. We finally agreed on coming yesterday with Pel. But we swared we would become crazy. Party on.

Pel started taking crazy pictures of me doing stupid things.

First toy, Yujun's japanese items.

...then some hat...

On the way to hand in our assignment, under the trees full of beautiful flowers...

And after handing in the assignment, Valladolid style! I had always wanted to do this on this sculpture!!

As parties begin early in Sweden (and we had to come early since we didn't want to wait in line for hours), I just had to come back home, eat a quick dinner, have a shower and meet the others in Ari and Guillaume's corridor. And here we are, having a couple of drinks before leaving.

Pel ran to arrive on time, which explains his lack of clothes.

Guillaume.

Ari.

But Pel and i felt like spicing up things a little. Let's put some hair gel! Swedish syle! 5 minutes before...

...and 5 minutes later, check the result.

Then we walked fast to the subway, where Guillaume and Audrey were waiting for us.

Waiting for the subway...

Once in östermalm, we didn't stop taking pictures! In front of the Red Bull car (the party was sponsored by Red Bull).

As we arrived quite early, we didn't have any problems to enter (and thanks to our 'cool' looks hehe). Inside.

Inside, free Red Bull! Nice! The place had just opened, so we went sitting to wait for the rooms to get more crowded.

Timo joined us a bit later. So did Youssef.

Don't mess up with us.

Then the first pair of DJs arrived. Let's go check them.

Here they are (I don't remember the names sorry, but Guillaume assured me they were famous...).

Anyway, they were pretty good. On the dancefloor.

Ari as well had a funny haircut!

Finally Bob Sinclar arrived.

People were dancing hard. They danced harder. So did we.

One crazy night!!! So many funny pictures!! A real blast! Thanks for convincing us to come Guillaume!!

...even if waking up this morning was a bit hard after not so many hours of sleep! Hopefully it's a sunny day!

Sant Jordi and tartiflette

The 23rd of april is Sant Jordi in Catalunya. It's a traditional day were men give roses to women and women books to men.

After spending all these months along with Ari and Laura, I couldn't miss the day and had to buy one rose for each of them.

As I wanted to surprise them, I told them to come over for dinner with Guillaume. Perfect excuse, I still had a reblochon from France, and therefore cooked a tartiflette (it had been a long time!).

Laura and the tartiflette master!

We then ate all together this tartiflette (maybe the last one in Sweden, sniff...), after I gave them the roses. They seemed surprised and very happy!! So was I!!!

Les deux plus belles!
Ari!

Et Laura!

After dinner, we started playing with Yujun's gifts that I recently got from him.

The fake nails were especially successful. Ari was tempted, but Guillaume finally got them... hehe).

And we ended in front of pictures from these past months... talking about our next great moments to come!!!

Crazy evening

One totally crazy evening.

It started with a dinner in Laura's corridor. Catalan food and french cheese. I hadn't seen Laura for about two weeks, and Ari only for a couple of minutes. It was nice to tell each others our stories around the jamon and the wine Laura had brought from Barcelona. Guillaume was also there.

Ari and I at the table.

Then we moved to Roland's new corridor, where we met Pel, Christelle, Audrey among others. We had a couple of drinks to warm up, then we all went to a big corridor party, summer style.

Before leaving, with my lovely catalan friends.

On our way.

The party wasn't really special, but I had lots of fun. A simple erasmus party: students from various countries gathering, talking, having fun... while drinking. It was pretty crowded, full of people, very nice. We met many other friends there. I hadn't been in such a party for some time now, and enjoyed very much.

Guillaume, Nicole, Audrey and me.

We played a lot with Pel's new bavarian hat, which he bought in Munich some days ago...

Maybe I had drunk a "bit" too much at this time...

Me and Pel, just before he left.

It was a bit hard to wake up this morning, but the evening was really funny! A good erasmus party like I will miss them!

These days

Hallo!

These last days have been quite busy.

First having fun and going out. Between pubs, beers and parties, I haven't had so much time to get bored in my room lately. Good. Last sunday, a little poker was organised by the french community. Poker is fun, I joined (I even got to win!).

Here's the group (mostly french).

And Youssef and I having a beer.

I also went to see 300. Very visual. You don't need so much your brain to watch it, but it was well done, and it was entertaining. Not a great movie though, but we had a good time. We went to talk about it in an irish pub after the show. Guinness is good. It had been a long time!

Sadly, having fun isn't all. There's work. After successfully completing (in time, please) some projects that I was (very?) late with thanks to my new chinese friend Sun (well chosen name), I had to work on my swedish and on my Electricity Market Class (interesting isn't it?). I'm talking about it because I'm working with Pel on this last one, so of course we had to take some pictures while working on an assignment. Here you go.

Ok, time to go to class now. More to come soon.

Bisous de Stockholm !!
