Luciadag

Luciadag, Lucia day, is a big event in Sweden.

Briefly, Lucia is a girl, blond with blue eyes (was it necessary to tell this?). Dressed in a white gown, with a crown of candles, she is supposed to wake you up in the morning and give you coffee and pepparkakor, those tasty christmas swedish cookies. Sweet huh?! Unfortunately my alarm clock woke me up this morning... and I had to prepare myself breakfast...

There is an official swedish Lucia who walks in the streets of Stockholm with a big procession behind her, but there are also Lucias in companies, houses, and in KTH as well.

ISS, the International Student Service (which takes care of exchange students here in KTH) had organized a little Lucia ceremony for us. It was very nice! I saw many people that I hadn't had the chance to see in a long time! And I also saw the people that I usually hang out with (Yujun we missed you. Pel as well). Plus, we got to see a Lucia with her choir, they sang songs, I had a good time! A nice break in this studying nerdy week.

Here Lucia with the choir.

Jonas, with Pierre and Andreas, his friends from Lausanne in Swizerland.

Guillaume, Audrey and Anna, an italian girl from Torino.

Giulia and Paolo, two italian friends.

Emiliano, my very best italian friend, and I.

Him and Christelle.

To end, I will just add that I didn't stick to coffee today. During my last class of 2006, this morning, Thomas, our teacher, had organized a lunch for us. We had some salads and some drinks, including beer. It was the first time I was drinking alcohol during a class! I had to try. Erasmus spirit.
